One on One with Jrue Holiday

We got to speak with Jrue Holiday who was making his UCLA debut Saturday night January 19, 2008 and we spoke to him before is game against South Atlanta High in Georgia. Holiday signed with UCLA this past fall and will be playing in the 2008-09 season. Holiday said he wasn't into it before his matchup but once he get onto the court it was going to be a lot of fun. Here is the one on one interview:

 

BB: Why did you choose UCLA?

JH: It is one of the top rank programs in the country and it's down the street from my house.

 

BB: What was like competing and playing with the top HS players such as Tyreke Evans, Lance Stephenson, Brandon Jennings, Greg Monroe, Delvin Roe and rest if the best in the country?

JH: I done it all my high school career, play and compete with the best, it nothing different, I always play against the best players.

 

BB: Talk about your season so far?

JH: We play against Compton, Dominguez, Westchester, St. Edwards (OH), and other good teams, it gets us prepared for the postseason. 

 

BB: Where is your favorite place playing basketball at?

JH: I don't know, I don't have a favorite place, probably at home, I rather play at home.

 

BB: Which basketball player you enjoy watching and why?

JH: On the high school level it will be Lance Stephenson, Tyreke Evans, and Brandon Jennings. College will be the UCLA team, and in the NBA is Tracy McGrady and the rest of the top NBA players.

 

BB: What is the first thing you will do when you sign that NBA contract if you get the opportunity?

JH: Thank God that I am here; I made it in, and get paid to play basketball.

Note: Campbell Hall lost the double overtime thriller to South Atlanta led by Derrick Favors, Jrue Holiday had 35 points, 7 assists, 18 rebounds, and 9 steals in that game.
