2010 NBA Draft Forecast

Hold on to your canes and grab the Geritol, the 2010 NBA Draft could include players who were born in the early 1990s. A lot can happen in the next five years, but here are some of the players who could make highlights and headlines in the summer of 10:
Second Round
Yannick Driessen 31 - Deshawn Sims, 67, 225 pounds, SF, Pershing HS, Detroit, MI Sims is a very versatile player who can play underneath and out on the perimeter. He faces up to the basket well. He can be an excellent rebounder.
32 - Anthony McClain, 70, 220 pounds, C, National Christian Academy, Fort Washington, MD McClain is good in the low post. He gets up and down the court well. He has good touch on his shot. McClain is also a good shot blocker.
33 Yannick Driessen, 70, C, Belgium Driessen has good size that makes him a big help on the defensive end. He needs to add muscle in order to do more than just block.
34 - James Keefe, 68, 220 pounds, PF, Santa Margarita Catholic HS, Santa Margarita, CA Keefe is a versatile power forward. He has good fundamentals and a good body frame. His shot is pretty good out to 15 feet. He is a good defender. Keefe is also a good rebounder and works very hard on his game.
35 - Durrell Summers, 63, 170 pounds, SG, St. Martin De Porres HS, Detroit, MI Summers can score in bunches and can have huge games scoring. He has a good outside shot. He can create his own shots. Summers is a slasher and can jump.
36 Darrington Hobson, 67, 180 pounds, SG/SF, Gulf Shores Academy, Houston, TX Hobson is a good athlete who can run and jump. Hell most likely play the small forward position. He has a good body and can score. Hobson also handles the ball pretty well.
37 - Mike Jones, 67, 215 pounds, SF, Lower Richland HS, Hopkins, SC Jones has a strong body and good overall skills. He is a good ballhandler and has a good mid-range game. Joness three-point shooting has improved.
38 - Walter Offutt, 63, 175 pounds, SG, Warren Central HS, Indianapolis, IN Offutt is a very versatile guard. He can shoot and passes well for the off-guard. He needs to improve his ballhandling.
39 - Willie Warren, 64, 190 pounds, SG, Cedar Hill HS, Cedar Hill, TX Warren can score and has a great perimeter shot. He needs to be able to finish stronger at the hoop.
40 - Obi Muonelo, 64, 210 pounds, SG, Santa Fe HS, Edmond, OK Muonelo is a great athlete who can score. His strength is getting to the basket and finishing. He can make the three. He is quick and can handle the ball when needed.
41 - Nolan Smith, 63, 170 pounds, SG, Oak Hill Academy, Mouth of Wilson, VA Smith is good at creating his own shot and getting into the lane. He also has good size for the guard position. He needs to improve his perimeter shot and passing. Smith plays with a lot of poise and doesnt let much bother him.
42 - Greg Monroe, 610, 198 pounds, PF, Gretna HS, Gretna, LA Monroe is a good interior prospect. He has good size and instincts for playing underneath. He needs to improve his game in the low block and on the defensive end.
43 - Quincy Pondexter, 67, 200 pounds, SF, San Joaquin Memorial HS, Fresno, CA Pondexter has improved his shot and now is a threat behind the arc. He works very hard, is very athletic, very quick, and can jump. He needs to improve his shot off the dribble.
Rakim Sanders 44 - Rakim Sanders, 66, 195 pounds, SF, St. Andrews School, Barrington, RI Sanders is a good athlete and has a good first step. He is a true small forward and his size is a big benefit.
45 - Taj Gibson, 69, 210 pounds, PF, Stoneridge Preparatory School, Tarzana, CA Gibson is very athletic and long. He can score inside although he is a little smaller than many power forwards. He is also a strong rebounder.
46 - Chris Wright, 61, 190 pounds, PG, St. Johns College HS, Washington, DC Wright is a tremendous guard. He is tough, versatile, and has a terrific perimeter shot. He can score a ton in a hurry. His mid-range game and ability to finish need to improve.
47 - Gani Lawal, 68, 215 pounds, PF, Norcross HS, Norcross, GA Lawal is a smart player who is always trying to improve. He is working on improving his face-up game. He gets inside for rebounds and will continue to improve as he gets stronger.
48 - Alex Tyus, 68, 210 pounds, PF, Harmony Christian HS, Cincinnati, OH Tyus has good size and can play the small or power forward position. His shot is good but only out to mid-range. He is strong and athletic enough to make plays underneath.
49 - Larry Drew, 510, 155 pounds, PG, William Howard Taft HS, Woodland Hills, CA Drew (the son of the former point guard) has good talent and a good understanding of the point position. He passes well and makes good decisions. Drew has a good outside shot and gets good shots despite his size.
50 Dragan Labovic, 610, Serbia & Montenegro Labovic is great in the low post, where he has good moves and great footwork. He has a good shot to mid-range. He is a very good rebounder. However, at this time he lacks speed and athleticism.
51 - Scott Reynolds, 61, 185 pounds, PG, Herndon HS, Herndon, VA Reynolds is an excellent shooter who can score in bunches. He wants to take the shot in big situations. He has improved at attacking the basket.
52 - Devin Ebanks, 68, 215 pounds, SF, Bishop Loughlin, Brooklyn, NY Ebanks needs to bulk up, but he has a tremendous shot from deep. He also needs to work on improving his defense.
53 - Lazar Hayward, 66, 205 pounds, SG, Notre Dame Preparatory School, Fitchburg, MA Hayward loves to play outside and work his way in. He has a good shot from three-point range. He needs to work on his passing and his ability to create shots.
54 - David Lighty, 65, 195 pounds, SG, Villa Angela St. Joseph HS, Cleveland, OH Lighty is a great athlete and tremendous leaper. He loves to run up and down the court. He finishes strong at the basket. He needs to work on his perimeter shot.
55 - Willie Kemp, 62, 170 pounds, PG, Central HS, Bolivar, TN Kemp loves to compete. He is a great passer who creates well and makes good decisions with the ball. He has a lot of poise and rarely gets rattled.
Devin Ebanks 56 - DaJuan Summers, 68, 225 pounds, PF, Maurice J. McDonough HS, Pomfret, MD Summers is a talented and versatile player who can play both inside and outside (and he has the size to play both). He rebounds well and likes to face up to the basket.
57 Danilo Gallinari, 68, Italy Gallinari can play, but he lacks athletically, which could ultimately hurt him in the NBA. He doesnt have a lot of foot speed, which hurts him defensively. However, he has shown he can play, so some team will likely give him a chance in a few years.
58 - Marreese Speights, 610, 245 pounds, C, Hargrave Military Academy, Chatham, VA Speights has good size and is tough and strong. He will dunk when he can and continues to improve inside.
59 - LaRon Dendy, 69, 195 pounds, SF, IMG Academy, Bradenton, FL Dendy has a lot of natural ability. He can play facing the basket. He runs the floor, rebounds, and can block shots well. He could play small forward if he improves his shot and adds size and strength.
60 - Corey Chandler, 62, 175 pounds, PG, East Side HS, Newark, NJ Chandler is a quick guard who can score in big numbers. He handles the ball well and creates plays for himself and his teammates.
